Princeton University Press is delighted to be shortlisted for the 2023 British Book Awards, in the Academic, Educational and Professional Publisher of the Year category. The shortlist announcement highlights the strength of PUP’s rights and exports, notably sales in Australia and India, and of the Princeton Audio program, including the launch of direct-to-consumer sales for ebooks and audiobooks. It also celebrates the success of Jim Al-Khalili’s The Joy of Science, noting the “excellent marketing” campaign for the book.
Princeton University Press was previously shortlisted for the Academic, Educational and Professional Publisher of the Year in 2021, the second such nomination since establishing a European office in 2000. Now in its 23rd year, the British Book Awards, or Nibbies, “showcase and celebrate the best books, the best bookshops and the best publishers.” This year’s winners will be announced in London on the 15th of May.
